  43. IMO, this newsgroup should deal strictly with the C++ language and not
  44. serve queries about IDE's and Windows programming.  There are already
  45. newsgroups for that!  The comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.* hierarchy 
  46. has something like 20+ groups devoted to frameworks like MFC, OWL as
  47. well as specific groups on the API, Visual Basic, Delphi and the list
  48. goes on and on!  When I want answers to Visual C++ and Windows
  49. problems, that's where I go for the info.

  51. Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that these "language"
  52. groups were supposed to be "platform independent".  I'm sure that many
  53. of the programmers that read this newsgroup don't use or care about
  54. MS-Windows programming.
