- IMO, this newsgroup should deal strictly with the C++ language and not
- serve queries about IDE's and Windows programming. There are already
- newsgroups for that! The comp.os.ms-windows.programmer.* hierarchy
- has something like 20+ groups devoted to frameworks like MFC, OWL as
- well as specific groups on the API, Visual Basic, Delphi and the list
- goes on and on! When I want answers to Visual C++ and Windows
- problems, that's where I go for the info.

- Maybe I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that these "language"
- groups were supposed to be "platform independent". I'm sure that many
- of the programmers that read this newsgroup don't use or care about
- MS-Windows programming.
